DIOR’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks

Together with Dior’s Visual Merchandising team and its partners, Yarō Studio developed a special holiday installation for the Carousel of Dreams at Saks Fifth Avenue in 2023. In over just six months, more than 25 designers worked to translate an artistic motif, commissioned by Dior to the Roman artist Pietro Ruffo, into three-dimensional decorations equipped with programmable LEDs. Starting from hand-drawn sketches, the process moved quickly through defining materials, production methods, and lighting solutions, leading to a fully engineered production launched three month later. The project, composed by forty unique design elements, was developed in record-breaking time, and redefined what a holiday installation can be.
