FENDI Concept Store

In 2017, Fendi opened a temporary concept store in Omotesando, Tokyo’s youthful and fashionable retail district. The operation, supported by Yarō Studio, combined high level of creativity and craftsmanship set, into the neighbourhood's unconventional atmosphere. The store's façade is a contemporary take on Fendi’s headquarters in Rome, at Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana. Travertine and thousands of backlit Murano glass bricks created a backgroud for historical Fendi miniature dresses, creating a storefront that felt both fresh and vibrant, while reminding of Fendi's heritage. Inside, a winding tree sourced locally and a descending Ikebana installation linked the store's two main floors.
